Maggie L. Merrill, has been guiding, gathering and reporting on ocean science, technology, and ocean energy for all of her career. When the board of the BVF offered her this position, she did not hesitate to accept but with a simple proviso, “It must be stimulating, challenging and fun. I am honored to be working with such a talented team led by Toby Stapleton to connect marine technology start-ups with resources and support they need to refine their technologies and bring them to market”.

 

As president of her consultancy, Marine Marketing Services she has been providing communications, stakeholder outreach and marketing assistance to marine science and technology enterprises. For the past 12 years, she has been focused on the emergent marine renewable energy space.
